America, a New Home
John Michael Gura and Anna Marie Lucas met in 1907 and were married on 3 February 1908 in Holy Trinity Slovak Catholic Church. This was only the second wedding held in the newly-formed parish.
Together they raised fourteen children in Struthers, Ohio. The family came together for John and Anna Marie's 50th wedding anniversary on 3 February 1958, when the family portrait shown on the home page was taken.

John Michael Gura's name appears on US Patent № 2,364,780 — Sheet Pack Opening Mechanism — filed 3 July 1943 and issued 12 December 1944. The patent records his residence as Struthers, Ohio, and names him as a 10 % assignee.
